Red River fishing

The Red River is fishing well this fall.  It looks like the wild Brown Trout have really re-established themselves and we are seeing browns in all size ranges.  There are good numbers of larger spawning browns right now but it's best to leave them alone.  There are plenty of stockers near the hatchery and big Cut-bows are eying the lower river.  Fishing has been good in the 10am to 2pm time range.  Try small beadhead mayfly and Caddis nymphs and Baetis dries have been working on cloudy days.
